My name is Ryan Schultz, I'm a 2017 graduate of LAHS and have lived in Los Alamos most of my life and have been working with the YMCA Teen Center as a Music Production and Recording Artist instructor for about 3 years. I also am a Main Stage audio/visual tech for Dreamhack, which is an internationally touring music and gaming festival series that showcases the best of the best and up-and-coming of the gaming and Esports scene.
I have many interests and titles, but my main ones include being an A/V tech for concerts and live events, DJ/record producer, avid rhythm game enthusiast (with osu! and Taiko no Tatsujin being my favourites), a former T3 competitive Overwatch player, affiliated Twitch streamer, and most recently, a character artist/illustrator. I also have a strong passion for cars, particularly of the older Japanese variety. My top 3 favourite cars are the 2002 Subaru WRX STi, 1986 Toyota AE86 Trueno, and the 1991 Nissan Silvia
Music has always been a major part of my life and, as far as making music goes, I have been producing music digitally for roughly 5 years and am able to play the bass and am learning the drums. My biggest music inspirations vary widely across the genre spectrum, from Tiesto to Trivium to Johnny Cash, and everything in between. I'm always making efforts to find new music, from big acts and small underground acts (which is where I tend to find some of my favourite songs), a sort of a testment to this is my ~2,000 new artists discovered on Spotify in just 2019 alone.
I'm also a big anime fan, and just a fan of Japanese culture in general, and I plan on soon moving to Japan to teach English and continue my pursuits in event production. Currently my all time favourite anime is Mekakucity Actors (Kagerou Project, alternatively) and I particularly enjoy 90's anime shows, with these shows being a large inspiration for my personal art style.
As far as content to expect here, basically everything I explained above: art, games, music, cars, anime, and shows
